Without
the sacred feeling
Vatican's
what I most looked forward to in Rome: Memories of a
sacred
and great atmosphere in beautiful Notre Dame in Paris and several
other Catholic churches gave me great expectations before the first
meeting with St. Peter's. These expectations were suddenly killed by
young, black dress security guards: "Not for tourists".
Only Italians were admitted to the fair which now began. Other
visitors had to follow the well-guarded and overflowing stream of
people in a limited part of the church close to the entrance.
